the long and winding road.
Ten years.
Ten years this city has shaped and molded me into who I am today. Imperfect, but striving to become better. A better friend, artist, individual, human.
So many lives lived, all to lead me to the one I inhabit today. I look at photos of those I surround myself with now, and realize how lucky I am to have this group of people in my life.
Some I have known for a decade, others more, some of my closest, less. And then there are those that were my constant for a time. People who taught me who I am, and most importantly, who I am not.
It’s a funny thing, opinions. You must be careful about the company you keep, because inevitably they will influence how you feel about yourself. There are those that have been my pillars, and those that have challenged my strength.
And now this long and winding road is about to take a turn toward a destination of splendor, and I am left humbled by how perfectly life has lined itself up. Good people, good vibrations, good intentions.
One day I will look back on these entries, and remember when I was here, and how it led me to where I’ll be then. Life is not a linear line, but a collection of experiences and memories that shape the multidimensional aspects of ourselves.
I can only imagine the adventures ahead and how brilliantly magical they are going to be. Throughout it all, I am lucky enough to have five incredible friends to share the journey both literally and figuratively with me.
NYC, I love you. Now it is time for me to spread my wings, and fly with all that you have offered and taught me.
